Welcome to We're Still Cool, Right? The weekly podcast where the conversation flows smoother than top-shelf whiskey. And cool, well, it never really left. Grab a drink and hang out with Erik, Mike, and Shaun while they dive into nostalgia and attempt to answer the age-old question. We're still cool, right?
00:00:30
Where are the bodies, G? I'll be curious if anyone hears that and knows right away what I'm talking about. But we're going to get into it. I have no idea what you're talking about. Well, you're about to know what we're talking about. Oh, yeah. I was like, yeah, you do. I hope you know what you're talking about. It's kind of a big deal here for you. Welcome back, guys. Yeah, with that sign, we're back. I'm Shaun, and join me is Mike. Yes, sir. And Erik. What's up? And we're ready to roll. Yeah. And I want to get the elephant out of the room. I have a tinge of a cough, so I will be sucking on hauls through this.
00:01:05
In case you hear me gargling something, it's not what you think. Why do you have to say that? Because I'm fucking weird. Why does anything that comes out of my mouth even shock you guys anymore? I don't know. You're going to cough and I'm going to have a cough drop. Nope, you've got to be suckling on something. You've got to be gargling on something. Get down there and do business. Anyway, yeah. Let's get into this drink. I need something to calm my throat. so uh today's drink is called the twisted teat teat the teat like a cow's yes so um it's it's a buddy drink so it's it's a buddy drink because it's half and half so you need um a twisted tea and a spotted cow and you just filled up half and half and and uh how did you get spotted cow it's only sold in wisconsin right no one ever brings it back so i don't understand I know.
00:01:55
Honestly, they've been sitting in my fridge for a little while. When we talked about it the other week, I was like, oh, shit, I should use those up. Dude, who doesn't love a good aged beer? It's going to be a little, I mean, it wasn't that long.
00:02:08
I'll be honest until you brought this up. I've never heard of a buddy drink, but it makes sense. It's like, you bring this, I'll bring this, and we're ready to go. Yeah, you mix them together, and you get yourself a little buddy drink here. So here's to the Twisted Teat. Twisted Teat. Cheers, boys. tastes just like it imagined it's fucking good yeah not bad yeah i mean i'm not a huge it's not great you know what i mean but it's not like world shattering no it's it's good i mean i love i like i don't like tea but i don't mind twisted tea i need i need some flavor with the tea yeah it does add a little something it goes well together and honestly the name is what i like the best it's like the twisted teat so it's a pretty good drink for how we're all feeling today what are you talking about i feel like a million dollars eric boys a little banged up today so uh should we just jump into why we're a little banged up here yeah i was gonna say we got our shit pushed in yesterday so we have talked on this episode of when we have felt cool and when we have felt old and when we have not and uh yesterday was the bar olympics so it's our second time playing we've talked about it in here before so second annual for the team and um i'm not gonna lie i was humbled yesterday yeah it did not go great it was not great and i would say i wouldn't tell you that i'm this great football player basketball player but when it comes to bar games i was definitely like i you want me on your team like i i can normally show up and i do well at those things fucking yesterday
00:03:41
was not the case for that at all. I was terrible. I think. So terrible. There's days you're on, there's days you're on, and we were just off. It's just so bad. And I was like, it all fell apart. And I mean, Ashley kind of helped me. Like, well, when's the last time you did it? I'm like, it didn't matter. It doesn't matter. The last time we played last year. I was like, I'm still going to be good at this. And I was so bad. It was hard. Yeah, it was a rough one. It was hard. We did okay in some things, but man, like the things that are usually our bread and butter, which is like Flippy Cup, Beer Pong, We just saw arts darts. Okay. Me darts though. I I'm gonna say I can't believe I did it. I fucking put three in the bag I hit three bulls and three darts. That's right. You did and we lost and I was like it really sucked the wind out of the Sails of doing it, but I'm still happy about that. But other than that. Yeah, it sucked. Yeah So we won like the hook and rings. Come on. Yeah, the game we were gonna win I did not think that was the one no No. We just ran into buzz saws, though.
00:04:38
I mean, those first teams we played in Flippy Cup and Beer Pong were fucking on fire. We somehow came back and almost won Beer Pong, but we were down like eight cups to two at one point. That was really bad. I mean, again, a bunch of them, I just threw them off the table. I didn't even hit the cup. I was like, that's what I'm saying. It wasn't like... I just got old. It was bad. Using the word humbled is a good word for it. We didn't go in there like cocky, but we're like, oh, we're always one of the top teams at least. So that's fine. And then we basically get through the first bracket. We're like, okay, well, we won one of six.
00:05:14
So we should just go home now. Last year, we took third in this event or this whole thing. The overall third, yeah. This year, your boys got kicked to the silver bracket. Bounced out pretty early. Well, we made a run through that. We got through the first team. Yeah. Then it was darts. and then we what was the other game we lost? Shuffleboard. I fucking hate that. I love Shuffleboard. Like legit 20 foot long table Shuffleboard. I love. And this is not making it like CR Social does a great job at this event. We love them. But there's so many teams they have to do a small Shuffleboard table. Yeah, I mean it makes sense for what they're doing.
00:05:52
And he does a great job. That's CR Social. That's a sweet event. And it's a huge bar and they do it during the day so it's I mean it fills the bar up there but it's easy to get drinks and they got specials going on so it's an awesome event so shout out to them for real because that was a lot of fun we just weren't but our shirts were awesome as you can probably see in the picture here that's us right before it got started yeah look at all that hope in our eyes that we had not me as we were saying before the podcast it looks like they drugged me to be there so I don't think I know where I am at that point I haven't even had a beer.
00:06:30
Yeah, that's what sober Mike looks like. It's not much to see, folks. Yeah, but that team, there's a lot of high hopes in that picture and it did not turn out so well. Well, real quick, I want to say shout out to our friend Jody for making those shirts and Kara for helping her. They went over one night and made those up for us. So, yeah, it was a great time. Yeah, appreciate you guys. So, more to come on that. We're working on some stuff and hopefully we'll have some merch and stuff here within the next few weeks if we can get everything going i know see i'm trying to get back to happy things and not just getting the shit kicked out of us so with that being said and we're talking about the merch should we talk about where we're sitting yeah i think we should well i'm drugged again where are we so i'm sure you guys will see uh maybe you've heard heard the changes in our voices and you know the sound of the podcast here but also uh you're going to start seeing in our social clips and things like that. We're in a new studio.
00:07:29
We are. We have our friend Logan here producing for us at Upload Media. Say hi to us, Logan. What's up, guys? Hey, man. Yeah, so it's been great. We're at Upload, and yeah, it's clean. I mean, the sound quality, like you guys mentioned, is a little bit different, and we're hoping for some big things coming up here. Yeah, so you'll notice Erik kind of came from behind the camera to on this side now, and Logan's really taking us to the next level here for it. It's like paying to be friends.
00:08:03
Wait, you guys get paid? No, I love it. I'm excited. I love your guys' show. You've built something awesome. I'm excited to help you continue to build it and move forward. Get Erik out from behind the desk and be a part of it. I think it's all good things. It's time to free the demon. He was dying back there. Keep that silky voice hidden. No, we couldn't. So, well, you know, and all the times where we have the social clips that we can't get because I kept the camera on Shaun and I'm talking, you know, like, yeah, I can, I can free myself from those mistakes. Yeah. But yeah. So obviously you did a really great job while you did it.
00:08:42
I mean, obviously just kind of this coming up on a whim and you putting that together and pulling it off for us amazing. But yeah, now that we got, we're in the new studio and got Logan here, we're kind of excited for that stuff. now Erik still has a computer with him because it's part of the deal. If everyone knows Erik, if he doesn't have a computer nearby, he's kind of like, oh, fuck. I go through withdrawals. He is the resident IT guy for a reason. But I also have to look up stuff in case you guys are saying things that are completely wrong. Well, let's be honest. All of our memories are shit.
00:09:13
It's kind of like, dude, that one podcast we couldn't think of the name of Half Baked for 10 minutes. It was like, come on. Jesus Christ, we're not that old. It is painful to listen back when you're like, oh, get there. now we know that's why we get the reactions and the emails we do they're like how the fuck could you guys not think of this i'm like you don't understand it's different when you're on the spot so um yeah so we're we're fired up and hopefully you'll notice the the new stuff out there and sound so i want to say the one more time like you know thank you eric obviously for everything you did i mean again i think we've talked about this but like eric didn't know any of this stuff he just was like i'll figure it out and he did and he did a hell of a job so we appreciate you buddy but yeah this is way better uh for all of us and we get to kick it with logan every week so it's a win win win win win all the way across the board so man to the drinking party that's right so enjoy your twisted teat speaking of teat because we were filming kind of the drink video for this and you i don't think you had told me the name of the drink you just said it's a buddy drink so yeah he said twisted teat and in my head i'm recording him i'm like why the fucking teat and then i'm like oh a cow has teats i get it and i was like that's how stupid i am Which brings us to our first we're so cool question.
00:10:19
Titty twisters? Remember those? Unfortunately. Does anybody do that anymore or did we realize that that's really violating other people? No, I don't think people realize that. It's still pretty out there. I don't know about you guys, but it was rampant around me and my buddies. Well, and here's the thing. No one was fucking accurate. I had bruised pecs always and it's like my nipple was fine. No one could hit it. I'm like, I'd rather you kind of just get the nipple.
00:10:48
Boy, clip that. Or if you're a somewhat hairy chested man like myself, you fucking multiple pains going through your chest. Yeah. So I don't know. Maybe cool isn't the word, but it was definitely popular. Yeah. I mean, I still see it happen. Like we would, like, all the time. Like you were, like, unprepared to... Dude, do you just remember kids walking on the halls like this? Yeah. Because it's like... If it was open, you would just get or when two guys would do it at once it was never a thing for me I remember some people doing it but it just never caught on in my school I'm so jealous I'm happy about that I know it's not still cool at our age I'm just curious if people still do it or not I was going to say someone did it to me recently and I was like how dare you because it hadn't been done in so long don't touch my nipple my son hates it so if I'm fucking with him and we're wrestling I'll go to do it he fills with rage she gets so mad. Welcome to the club, buddy.
00:11:47
What do you mean to? That stuff just comes back naturally. Oh, yeah. Oh, where'd that one come from? You started swinging. I mean, it was that, and it was also tied into, you know, this is a different thing, but like Peter tapping. It's like, it was always those two things. And that's where it evolved, because you'd be walking through the halls like this where you have no protection. So then someone would hit you in the balls, you're just screwed. Yeah. Guys are so stupid. We're fucking gross people. It's pretty bad. But I feel like in our friend group for some reason that it's evolved into like checking the oil like everybody wants to do that that's true an old wrestling move yeah yeah i have my i think sean needs his oil checked yeah i mean our group of friends is one thing like i don't want to get too into it but we're fucking weird we've all known each other forever so there's really not off limits i'm obviously not gonna go up to someone i barely know and just check right yeah that's assault brother that's how we get i think they would be like you probably should have stuck to the titty twisters yeah yeah yeah stay north of the zone please yeah so i don't i think kids still do it i really do like i've seen it every now and then i just don't think it's like again we had nothing to do yeah in the 80s and 90s we didn't have cell phones we didn't have laptops like we you know so it was like how we had to interact with people so then naturally you gotta grab their tits yeah they actually should bring it back because everyone's always staring at their phone it'd be just open season on everybody right so yeah but then it'd all be on the internet everybody's gonna be like there's gonna be some sort of trend around it okay but a
00:13:19
compilation of people getting titty twists would be a little bit funny so my late clip's still to come watch out mike well i was gonna say like i just went down a rabbit hole of people slipping on ice and it's like i know it's not funny for them but god damn it it's so funny to me i'll never not laugh at it and everyone's like they could have got really hurt i'm like they probably did but i'm gonna laugh at it like i can't stop it now so why not laugh at it i like the walking in the doors which popped up on me again and i just i'll just laugh like sliding glass doors yeah like any glass any glass they're just walking through you know we've talked mike i wish this was on tape i do too i just because i don't know how i didn't spill my beer i shook the entire room the room was made of glass and I shook the whole thing because I mean you just walk like there's you have no I you don't so you are full force and in my defense and you should appreciate this if anyone Shaun it was really clean windows I was like a deer just like I'm going actually when I on my socials for my window cleaning company like the one that I did one where I was like birds in the window you know that's like I don't remember what Ashley came with a cool joke there for it but it was one of the most likes that I got on there.
00:14:30
Oh, I bet. And one time I was actually cleaning, I cleaned a guy's windows. I'm in there, he's paying me, and a bird no shit fucking runs right into his window. Wham! And I'm like... It scared the shit out of you? Well, yeah, but he was sitting right there and he goes, damn, those windows are clean. I'm like, that's right. You know, I was like, there's no better way. If that doesn't prove my A plus service, nothing will. Yeah, I was like, right there, I was like, that couldn't happen. Like, that was like as good as, as he's handed me the check. Boom! I'm like, that's awesome. You're welcome. And then you're like, do you want me to go clean that up? Yeah.
00:14:58
I was gonna say like it used to be when I would be downtown and you go through the skywalks you would see like bird print Oh, yeah, my face is like just yeah, yeah, that beaks. I'm like they must be pretty dirty like Dust on it. They're also just stupid. I mean when I was Paul Blart mall cop there deer used to run into the doors. It's fuck you. Did you see me comment on that this dick? He made a Facebook post about Our episode and it was the one where we talked about me being a mall cop And I didn't realize when he posted it He put a little S in front of mall cop So it's small cop Fucking asshole Quit the short jokes guys It's over like 42 years old now Guess what I'm doing after this Is get that baby going again Please don't Please no But yeah there used to be deer that would Just charge into the doors and a couple times one through busted through the glass Another time one At Westdale Mall It would run through the parking lot and see the glass doors and go to run through them.
00:16:04
A couple of them snapped their neck, so there was just a dead deer outside the mall. Did any of them get through and run rampant in there? One got through the first set, but then killed himself. What's going through that guy's money? He's like, I made it! not a bad day to be venison.
00:16:23
So, anyway, I don't know how the fuck we got on that. How we got there from Titty Twisters, but things running into glass doors. There we go. Oh, but one other thing with Titty Twisting and punching each other in the dick. God, we're stupid. The hand thing, like this. Oh, yeah. So now I get to punch you because you looked at it. That's right. Yeah, that was a big one, too. Like the OK sign, kind of. But I still know people who do that. At our local watering hole, there's a buddy there who works there and he does it to me all the time. I don't see it coming. You've ever fucked around and done that to the wrong person? You know what I mean?
00:16:54
Someone like you do something like that and they just hit you first. Oh yeah. Yeah. You know like the real tough guys? Yeah. You do like ha ha and I'll, hey man, how you doing? What are you doing? Who's laughing now?
00:17:06
Again, it all just comes back to how stupid we are. I mean, I don't know. Yeah, we definitely did. We abused that to the full extent when I was in school. In degree. But it was always you had to be below your waist Yeah there was like That's the thing there was these rules and I remember when T.D. would do it It was like yeah you can't Like he would find unique ways like he'd snap And you'd look or whatever but also like if someone Did it and you broke it then like They didn't get to hit you I don't know It's like Flippy Cup there's different rules For every house right Yeah once we get onto that one That one's got some rules added To it thank god that they don't do any of that Shit for the for the Olympics.
00:17:45
Oh. Beer pong and all the different rules you can do for that stuff. Yeah, when someone started going, oh, do you play with an island? I'm like, what are you talking about? I've never even heard of that. I'd never heard of that either, but even Brian said something about it when he was reading the rules. Yeah, he goes, no islands. No islands. I'm like, what is an island? And the first team we played, they were like, they were ready to move on everything. I'm like, whoa. They were strategic. They were trying to sneak balance. They were all fit and strong and young.
00:18:10
Handsome, smart. Yeah, I know. Like, I have all this future in front of them. Everything we hate. They're going to do great things. There was hope in their eyes. Disgusting. This is a bar game. Yeah. It's not supposed to go that way. They clearly haven't been aged and weathered like we have. We're over that. I did get some satisfaction, though. They tried to bounce on the first one, and I just swatted it across the bar. Erik swatted it, like, 40 feet away. He was like, none here. Thank God for your long arms, because I was standing there not ready at all. Just, like, let it happen. Erik, like, knocks me out of the way a lot.
00:18:40
I was waiting for him to do the Dikembe Mutombo. Like, uh-uh-uh. You should have, honestly. Everyone was cool, though. I want to say that. Every team we played was cool, even though they beat the shit out of us. It's always so fun. Of course they're cool when they fucking kick our ass. That's a good point. Yeah, it's hard to be pissy when you're beating ass. There wasn't any teams that seemed like they were super rule sticklers. I'm like, oh, remember the one year that somebody was complaining because somebody's foot stepped over the line in beer pong. It's like, really? Like, we're... I mean, you want to follow the rules, but also, there's a lot of people here and people are drinking. Agreed.
00:19:22
By the way, cough drop counter, we're on number two. Okay? So, just for anyone following at home while I'm gargling things. Jesus. I only say that just to watch Shaun's face every time. There's such disappointment, like he doesn't know me.
00:19:36
Oh, boy. Hey, do you want to talk about things going in you or something? No, no, I would like to have an episode where it doesn't happen. I'm just busy over here being a human shield. You're welcome. To be the episode where I'm... I'll jump on the grenade. So... Okay, so I gotta ask you guys another one. If this is still cool. Is Garth Brooks still cool? Where's the bodies, G? There it is. Here's the thing. We have to probably start with, is he still cool? Yeah. Everyone loves Garth Brooks music, even if you're not a country fan. it's like everyone grew up listening to it like i don't think you could ever say he's not cool so like a lot of people that weren't even country fans liked it you know what i mean like yeah exactly like friends and low play you know like that sort of thing when i like when i was growing up i like he was one of my favorite artists i kind of like idolized i wanted to like look like him be like him listen to his music i loved it but then like at some point i was like man i can't find any of his music anywhere we we just talked about this before the episode but like i guess it's only on Amazon Music. He made some sort of exclusive deal, but I thought he went and removed everything from all the streaming services because he was like, you can't have my music, you new generation.
00:20:47
You got to go buy the albums. I think he was known for that years. I think I remember there being years where he'd just gotten it and he pulled everything. Well, there was a few of those artists that had exclusive. Metallica did it. They had it with Target. I remember Target had bought up a bunch. I feel like you had to like go there to buy the album yeah i feel like i don't know whoever the really big one i feel like that was a one of the first ones that happened i think you're right where they were you could only get exclusively and he was one of those which for a long time i mean he was still riding on he just he didn't do music for how long i don't mean he stepped away from it or whatever yeah um yeah i mean does does he even make new music i mean he's old now um so i because we you said that like you you saw that it was on amazon i looked and evidently he released an album last year really so i had no idea that's the thing like you do it yourself yeah he's doing that to himself in my mind so it's like i don't know that's why i wanted to ask the question is he still cool because like for me i started thinking about it last night and i was listening to some of his songs i was like man i love these songs but is he cool because he's like keeping his he's like gatekeeping his music yeah you know but also he's you know it it'd be like if taylor swift did that she can do whatever she wants you know what i mean he's that's where country he's that guy you know but i would argue a little bit though that he was yeah i was gonna say he's not you know i mean he's still holding on to that as opposed to being like you know i don't know which he probably wanted some better deal on all the other streaming things and wasn't gonna get it
00:22:21
but I don't know I think the hilarious stuff is all on the where's the bodies let's vote on them first of all we didn't vote on the titty twister one I hate it being done to me so I'm going to say it's not cool anymore yeah I'm going to probably say it's not cool let's let that one die it's not cool but on to Garth before we get into what we're going to get into I will say hold on this too i've been to one of his concerts and they're fucking awesome i've heard that like it's it's hit from all the way through and he's full energy and runs around i mean he's constantly running so yeah it's it's a lot of fun you know i say just based on his music alone and everyone that always loved him i'd say he's still cool for that so i'm gonna say yes i'm gonna say that he's not still cool but he was really cool but he's he's not cool i just think he's still cool to anyone who ever loved him but i just think if he left if he if he released an album last year and i didn't know about it that's what i'm saying i don't think he's still cool anymore okay yeah i agree with i agree with that take because like i i still really like all of his old music yeah and still appreciate it but the fact that he kind of gatekept his stuff and like we don't even know that he released a new album that's a good point yeah but i would agree at one point he was the coolest like and i did love a lot of his music and still do so okay just currently that's right then we can ask, was Chris Gaines ever cool?
00:23:49
Definitely not. For those that don't remember this. It was supposed to be a whole thing, wasn't it? A movie or something? I thought it was a joke when it happened, but it turns out he really thought he was going to get away with that. What I remember reading about it, he made an alter ego. It wasn't country. It was emo kind of rock. It was kind of country rock a little bit. It was pretty obvious it was him. like i mean he wore makeup and stuff like that but it's just that's fucking weird man so weird you might say that's like serial killer fucking behavior you know what i mean i don't know it's weird i just and we talked about this when you're that famous you're always gonna be a little fucked up there's usually something a little off right maybe that was his thing i don't know i thought that whole thing was supposed to lead into something like going like it was supposed to be like either movie series or a tv series or a movie i felt like the chris gate i thought i felt like they're supposed to be more but i don't think he ever addressed it well i know but i think when that when the album came out it just plummeted it just sucked like it didn't do well so that i think the whole like idea of it i think i just don't know why you wouldn't address it that's a little that i remember so i guess i don't know okay so i just i just looked it up because i remember this but I didn't remember the details.
00:25:07
So Garth Brooks created Chris Gaines in 1999 as a fictional rock star persona to explore music outside of country, primarily as a promotional stunt for an unmade movie called The Lamb that would tell Gaines' life story. It was a creative detour for him, and he kind of wanted to just dive into a different music style but not associate his name with it. Okay, but that's even weirder that it was for a movie of a persona of a fake person. right yeah it's definitely weird but i i mean you kind of throw it out there like it could have been really fucking cool like if all of a sudden you're like and it led no movie if his i just think that the music wasn't great like i think if you would have really good music and it led into something probably could have been pretty cool i mean i think it's fucking weird does it say if he ever addressed it because i what i remember is like people would ask him and he like wouldn't talk about it yeah so um what it says here is he um did it as a project for himself like he at some point stated that he uh did it because he wanted to explore a different different different genre music and a different kind of persona huh it's weird man yeah i don't know it's weird well and now now it's i mean if you take somebody uh like taylor swift who's done like country albums and then pop like she just they just go back and forth let's go i'm just going to do it yeah uh you know he thought he had to create a whole new identity to do it but yeah but maybe that's uh what started you know is tip dipping his toe into being a serial killer i don't
00:26:43
know you know what i mean we don't know that that were the signs where the bodies the families need closure so yeah so you haven't heard that that is huge with yeah we're we're obviously big tom segura fans um and their podcast and they they got out they get on it hard and it started well i clearly like a joke but then they just as a joke but i also think it started because he was just like garth would make these like just weird kind of creepy videos like singing happy birthday you know like and so he just like kept making fun of it and then it turned into i don't know how they got the idea or what google tom cigar just garth brooks because the different stuff out there or honestly just go to any comment section of anything on the internet having you with garth brooks and all you will see in the comments is where the bodies g the families need closure that was the big thing was because like his there'd always be somebody disappearing or like that was murdered or whatever like that lined up with his show it's like in the same area yeah and like we were talking about earlier well he does major cities and major you know i mean so it's like people die in new york like you know yeah chicago it happens every day you know i mean like type of thing but it was funny as they started doing it and then you kind of keep pushing and see that's the part that's not cool right like because people no i mean i agree it's only cool when tony soprano does it but um but what's not cool is like he was kind of getting razzed about it
00:28:16
And he, instead of laughing and making a joke about it, he kind of became a dick. Well, he started blocking people. He thought he was going to big boy him. You know what I mean? And that's where I'm saying Segura is huge and he's not. You know what I mean? And he just out went, you know what I mean? He just out won and, you know, and ran with it as opposed to just laughing. Like it could have been a totally comeback type thing. My favorite was like a couple of the producers from the show went to a Garth Brooks concert and they snuck in a sign like where the body's G. Yeah. And he got, they got on the jumbotron.
00:28:45
Like they lifted it up and they went to it and then quickly panned away. And then like they were escorted out. That's so crazy. But they accomplished the goal, right? That was like, yeah. But they've talked about like, so that's the thing is there's this big rumor that Garth Brooks is a serial killer because after his shows, people go missing within the area, whatever. And now like true crime podcasts and stuff have gotten a hold of it. And they're like, wait a minute. This actually lines up like this, this. And again, it's like probably not. but Garth knows about all this because not only can you not miss it online but recently there was an interview with somebody from the Tom Segura show or whatever their podcast and he knows Garth Brooks and he goes are you mad at him or whatever he goes no I don't hate anybody he goes but I'll show you this and he pulled up the video where Tom Segura goes to dunk and he breaks his bones and he just starts laughing at it while watching it and he goes what do you mean by that he goes karma and that's all he keeps that video on his phone to watch when he's in a bad mood.
00:29:41
Maybe he is a fucking serial killer. I don't know. But is he doing it as Garth Brooks or is it Chris Gaines that's doing it? You look at the picture of Chris Gaines and he looks like he could be a serial killer. That's why I'm like, instead of a star is born, a serial killer was born as Chris Gaines.
00:30:00
It's so fucking funny, man. No hate toward Garth Brooks. You're a big boy. It's the internet. You have plenty of money. You're good. You're doing well. Just laugh it off, man. You know what I mean? Now it's easy for me to sit here and say that, but you're going to be fine. You don't have to be pissy about it. Just go with it. You'll just gain more fans the more you just go with it. If I was him, I'd make... Yeah, Garth, if you're listening, unblock Tom. He really loves you. When Tom does his voice, I can't do it. I know, I can't do it.
00:30:34
It's so overly cheesy. It's so good. i'll just never get the happy birthday thing in my head happy birthday did you uh did you guys watch the bad thoughts the netflix series from tom yeah yeah yeah because he does he does a bit on air about it like yeah yeah he doesn't say it's him but i mean he's truly acting like oh yeah it's very clear who he's indicating i just love that they double down and they just keep doing it you know what i mean like it's well they've leaned into it now and All the way. You got to ride that. So if you or someone you know has gone missing around one of his shows, we'd love to hear about it at we'restillcoolright at gmail.com.
00:31:14
We're trying to make a documentary and get the word out because I miss my grandma. Is that our next podcast? Where are the bodies, G? But again, we ask if it's cool. Sierra killers are hot right now, man. So I got to say, Chris Gaines is still pretty cool. With that being said, what did you I feel like you had another one of what's still cool here. Oh, yeah. So I took my daughter to a movie today. We went to Five Nights at Freddy's, too. Awesome. Sophie just went the other night Oh did she Yeah So my kids have always been into those games and stuff like that So way better than the first one The first one was good The second one was awesome But it brought up like our scary movie is still cool.
00:31:58
And I've kind of talked about that I love scary movies. So to me, they always have, always will be. I was born in blood. You know what I mean? But what about you guys? Because I feel like there's still just all the rage and have been for a little bit now. Well, I will say right now they are the coolest thing. It feels like, at least with my kids, they watch it all the time. And they'll watch it home by themselves. I'm a grown man who still gets scared watching movies. And they'll do it at home. I still shut the light off in the basement and run up the stairs real quick because something's about to get me.
00:32:31
That's so funny. I was just imagining that and I was going to ask you, do you run up the fucking stairs when the light goes out? Me and my fat ass still runs up those stairs when that light switch goes off. I can't wait for Ashton to walk in one night and you're just keeled over. What is wrong with you? I snapped my ankle running up the stairs. The furnace monster was going to get me. Thank God for smart lamps now.
00:32:52
I've never been a fan of scary movies, but my kids love them. They're always watching stuff like this. They went and saw the new Five Nights at Freddy's 2. Everybody loved them. Sophie dressed up. That's a new thing too, right? Dress up for them. That is kind of a newer thing. That's a good point. She went as the bear or something? I don't know if she did. freddy is that i don't fucking know i don't know as good as my kids but yeah but i mean she didn't do like all dressed up she just did like a little makeup on her nose like to do like a little bear nose and then like she had her hair and kind of looked like bear ears or whatever you know i mean so it wasn't like she was fully done but she had makeup on her face to where they went to the mall before right because it was connected there in iowa city and she's like i felt like a furry Oh Like can you point me to the nearest box? She's like oh man. I'll send out the wrong vibes Going I'm going to a movie. Yeah, I Don't think that's anything different though Like we'll go to Marvel movies and I'll wear like a fucking superhero shirt or a normal shirt Like I don't you know we wear our team stuff when we watch the game I don't I don't see a problem with it at all I guess it's always been a big thing with like Star Wars and shit like that Can we take a quick moment and talk about Notre Dame got fucked today?
00:34:11
Oh god I knew this was going to happen No kidding I'm just kidding Why don't you give us your thoughts Shaun? The college football playoffs came out and Notre Dame is left out of the playoffs and they had two losses so I guess I get it a little bit but I think they got fucked It's more I mean we're fucking alabama has three and alabama's in and it's fucking bullshit so well it's bama they always fucking give i know but fuck come on i agree i mean you know there's there's kind of a a thing there because they're not part of one of the conferences and i get that and i wish they would join it too but they're they're they're not and it's just like that's the thing is like i someone texted me earlier uh a buddy's son knows we love nd and he's like how do you feel about it i'm like look i'm not happy about it but i'm like i expect this to happen it's like they need to fucking get in a conference like i'm not mad at them but it's like this is going this isn't going to be the last time it happens you're going to have those years where look if they lose the champion if they join a conference they lose fine it's clear cut i get it yeah they got bounced yep but when you but you win you know you're in when you don't do it at all it's i feel like it's usually going to end with you not making it in i think the biggest issue i have with this thing is fucking two lane is in it and so is james madison they're not even in the top 25 they just won no No, they just won their shitty conference.
00:35:30
Yeah, that's true. So I love the idea of like, you know, like it does it in basketball, right? You win your conference, you're automatically in. You get your automatic seed to get in. Yeah. And those smaller conferences, right, they get bounced right away in the first time, first rounds all the time. And you don't have to do it with football. Nobody gives a shit about, I'm sorry, like Tulane. It's just not, you're not big enough draw. No. Just do the top 12 teams. And if their conference is good enough and they win their conference, then they'll be in it if they're a good enough team. And if they're not, they still get a conference championship.
00:36:03
Good for them. They won that. They're not going to win these playoffs. He just took out two teams that could have made it even better. They're for it. So anyways. Cough drop number three. I think no matter what, when it comes to college football, they just need to take the subjectivity out of it, like the people getting to make decisions. Yeah. There should be very clear cut. Like your record is how you get there. the problem is there's too many teams and everyone has the same record so they got to go with strength of schedule and then like that that's all subject to people's opinions too i could acknowledge teams right right now or is it 12 12 but didn't they talk now see this is the problem didn't they talk about bumping it to 16 i have a feeling like maybe it is going to be in a couple years right yeah like i can step it up to do it i don't i don't know but then it's like where do you stop you're still just running the problem like because i don't i don't think you should add more and like even as Notre Dame being out right now that if there was you know 14 teams they'd have been in I'm still not I'd rather them be out than do that yeah but anyways I don't know it just kind of fucking sucks so pour one out for ND people especially because they're fucking good I think that they would have done really well I think they would have like that's the hard part like right they're really fucking good right now that I think it would have been and that's the thing we talked about prior is like you know they they lost two ranked opponents correct me if I'm wrong, four?
00:37:25
They lost a four, wait, what? Four points. Yeah, that's what I was going to say. Those combined losses were by four points. It's like that's fucking, it's like Iowa this year. Like Iowa had a fucking great team, but they lost a lot of fucking nail biters and our offense just, you know, as usual, we don't have a quarterback that can really get it all done, but that paid well. I think he can. I think he can. I think he can with time. I think, well, I think personally, everybody's going to start yelling at me that they're Iowa fans, but I think the coaching is what holds it back. Hey, fuck you, Erik.
00:37:55
No, I agree. They make terrible decisions sometimes, and that is obvious that it's a coaching, not a... I'm just glad it's gotten better. I mean, like, their defense is always fucking stellar. Weechen fucking special teams has been incredible to watch. Dude broke Tim Dwight's record. Like, that's awesome. It's the offense, which has gotten exponentially better with fucking Brian gone. Thank God. But you're right. At the end of the day, it's like it's got to come from the top. I mean, you could watch in multiple games where they're they take their foot off the gas and then they take their foot off the gas.
00:38:26
They change it up and we're OK. We're running every down again. Yeah. I don't know. It'll be interesting to see what happens because I know Ferent said he's back. He's coming back next year for sure. Yeah. I can't see him doing more than like two years. So to me, it's like. Write it out. We'll see what happens after that. We might end up eating crow and being like, shit, we had it pretty good, you know, because we are we're we're never going to be Alabama or fucking Notre Dame or, you know, whatever. Right. So back to horror movies. So as you were talking I just started laughing at myself Because I'm like god we're a fucking train wreck We're off I don't even know how we Yeah but that's kind of what we do But we came back We're back Scary movies I just love that you guys don't I grew up Always loving them I've always been a fucking weird twisted bastard But I always thought everybody loved horror movies And then I grew up and I'm like you guys don't like them Fucking Adam hates them Kelly hates them A lot of our friends don't like them I'm like, man, I never knew people.
00:39:20
I thought everyone loved them. I had no idea. No. So not everybody loves them. Some of us have trauma from overnights at really young kids. Okay. But I will say there's movies that like traumatize me where I still get freaked out by like Pet Sematary. Yeah. Oh, instantly. You just triggered me. See, the sister Zelda or whatever her name was and the flashbacks. Dude, I still like that will make me run up the stairs. If I start thinking about that and it's dark behind me, I don't know what it was about her, but it fucked me up. There was another one. Gage is the boy. Yeah, he gets hit by the semi.
00:39:56
Oh, when he slices his Achilles. Yeah, that's gross. Actually, what scarred me was when he gets hit by the fucking truck and you see his little shoe rolling down the road. That's where I'm like, oh my God, that was a little kid that just died. For me, it was Night of the Living Dead. The original? I think so. Like black and white? No, there was like a remake. There's been a bunch of them. I've never seen one of them. Like late 80s, early 90s. Do you remember a helicopter and it cuts off someone's head? Like he walks too close to it? I don't remember. I get them all messed up. What kind of traumatized me about it was when I was young enough that it was still kind of pretty scary.
00:40:35
But then also, like it starts out with a cemetery right next to a house. Oh, yeah. And the zombies are coming out of the ground. and all I could think is like I have a friend that I stay at his house all the time and there's a cemetery like right next door. I don't want to stay there anymore.
00:40:53
But yeah, when I was younger that stuff messed with me and now it's like that and Freddy Krueger. God, the whole like he's in your nightmares thing. Yeah, you couldn't go to bed. Yeah, you were kind of fucked. And honestly, his fucking face is what scared me more than his goddamn claws. I'm like oh my god One of all the main horror icons Like him, Michael Myers, Jason Hellraiser Or Pinhead, whatever Freddie Hoer was by far the scariest one The other ones never, I think None of the other ones ever really scared me It's like the movies were kind of scary and a little bit gory And you're like oh But Freddie you looked at and you're like ugh There was just something very unsettling And the way he would attack and kill people Like the guy slaying on the water bed He comes up through the water Actually, I think that was Johnny Depp I think that was him in that one And then the song One, two, Freddy's coming for you Three, four Shut the door No, I just want to sing it to you every time I see you Yeah, you're right, it was Johnny Depp Man, look at me Look at him I love him I've seen a few recently that I liked I just love that they're actually finally I feel like coming up with some fresh ideas because it's been there was some stale years there was just remakes and dumb fucking premises well now it's like all the scary movie like oh my god everything was that yeah which i did like those are funny yeah the the parody one you're talking yeah dude when he when she finally
00:42:29
has sex with the dude and he like blows her to the ceiling do you remember that I was like, these movies are so fucking stupid. And I was mad at myself for laughing. You know what I mean? That's how bad they were. I like when he gets out the hedge trimmer. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. We make that joke every time. There's a buddy of ours that was recently single, and so then he was going to meet a girl, and I was like, yeah, don't like plaster to the ceiling. Oh, gosh. No, that's why they always say, you know, to get one out of the chamber before you go on a date.
00:43:02
You're doing everybody a favor right there. all right so what's the vote here we i say i for a horror movie as well i'll always be a yes and if you again if you look at the way the movies are coming out and what's popular i don't think you can deny it go ahead yeah i would say no but that's for me so i'm gonna say yes because you just don't like them yeah that's true i think it's 100 yes right now but i do i'm curious what logan's got here for what he thinks oh there we go no i yeah horror movies scary movies like they're bigger than ever right honestly it's been a good year a good couple of years yes um like for newer horror movies but i think if you go back and watch previous horror movies from like the 80s and 90s a lot of them still hold up they're not scary anymore no exactly okay and i and i'm trying to figure out if that's like an adult thing or if it's just like a generational thing like kids aren't scared of old movies anymore no yeah no they're totally disillusioned yeah to all of it yeah so is it because they're kind of cheesy like i mean you know i mean like you think that's part of it someone has to be like you can actually tell like there's a string you know like you're like whatever like yeah if you go back and watch like the original uh uh oh my god not jason michael meyer's but halloween yeah i watched it at like six months ago it's so not scary at all not even a little bit but you got to put yourself in those like that was groundbreaking you know it's the same reason if you watch psycho it's so
00:44:33
terribly not funny but people like threw up in the theater when they watched it because like the thought of getting stabbed even in the 70s is crazy what was that uh what was the movie that like halloween no it's an older one um it was like it's super famous of a jeez you got to give us more. Yeah. No, never mind. No, never mind. Just let's, I'll think. I got to stop thinking about it and I'll figure it out. The Partridge family?
00:45:03
Screared the shit out of me. Have you seen the Brady Bucks? Nobody's so happy. That's fucking bullshit. The older movies are like cheesy and campy. Yes. The newer movies are like well made and artistic and terrifying. Yes. I think no matter which way you look at it, they're still cool. Yeah. Different. Different for sure. Like now it's more like psychological things. I mean, even Gore, like he said, kids don't really get scared by things like that anymore. I mean, they do, but not like we do. Alfred Hitchcock. What the fuck did he make? Psycho. Yeah, it was. You're right. The shower scenes. The first one, that was the one people were thrown up in the theater.
00:45:41
That whole deal. And Sophie was one that said that. She's like, man, people are just different. She's like, how sheltered were they? that they didn't see anything like that. And she's like... Two words. No internet. And she goes, maybe I just see too much that that doesn't even bother me anymore. She goes, because it's not really good that someone's getting stabbed. I'm like... Yeah. I mean, kids shouldn't see the things they've seen, but that's just, that's the world we live in now. There's nothing I could see in a movie that is worse than what I've seen on the internet. Sure. A hundred percent.
00:46:11
You know, and unfortunately... A lot of that shit is real, so that's like, should be... Yeah. And unfortunately, our kids have access to all of it. And are better at finding that shit than we are. That's true. We just hope they're not seeing it, but I've said this. I have seen, and this isn't like a bragging thing, but I've seen the worst of the worst on the internet. Because we grew up with certain friends who were like, dude, watch this. And you're like, oh my god. But again, nothing, it just doesn't bother me anymore. I don't want that for our kids, but that's just where we're at. Do you know what will always bother me?
00:46:41
Here we go off on something. What old man? When fucking legs snap. Like when somebody breaks their leg, like basketball, you know what I mean? Or they come down and you just So like Tom in his video? Yeah, well, like that, but even other... What about arm wrestling videos where they snap their arm? Have you seen those? It's the leg ones that get me the most. It's just like... So I just saw a video of a guy. It was on TikTok, and it was like they were playing some game with the family. It was like trying to grab a bag with your mouth, but you can't bend. So he had his leg stretched around, and his fibula just snaps.
00:47:13
And so I just thought, I'm like, I'm going to find it and send it to Shaun. Every time they show those... Like, every time in the football game, they're like, oh, this is going to be tough to watch. I don't watch because I know, oh, I don't like it. By the way, I said fibula. It gets me.
00:47:27
Yeah, it gets me. Any of that stuff, I'm like, oh, yeah. Have you seen Stranger Things? Oh, yeah. I was actually wanting to talk about that, yeah. I watched the first season, and then we got off of it. My kids they watching it right now Yeah because they just dropped four episodes and then there like four more on Christmas and then the finale on like Yeah we in season five right now But no spoilers Yeah correct No spoilers, but season four includes a lot of leg snapping. Yep. That's why I asked if you watched it or not. There's like a certain way a body can snap. And yeah. So you might... Okay, do me a favor.
00:48:03
When you get to that season, just record yourself constantly. Fucking ringing endorsement for me. I was going to say. Oh, yeah, you're going to love it, man. You're going to love it. I can't fucking wait. Dude, I get so jealous. It's the same thing with Game of Thrones. When someone goes, I'm watching it for the first time, I get so jealous. Because the first time is so amazing. And I know there's those people who are going, I've never seen a single one. I don't care. Fuck you. It's amazing. I don't care what anyone says. The first six seasons of that show are so good. And just all these plot lines coming together and these little secrets you missed.
00:48:35
Oh, yeah. So I just think that you haven't watched Stranger Things. things yet and i'm like god i had to be a fly on the wall like watching you watch it well so i i remember that my brother-in-law said that to me when we were watching game of thrones because we weren't we were late you were a little late yeah and he's like i wish i was you i wish i was turning it on right now for the first time all the way through there's just certain movies like once you show his movies fuck i was just we were just talking about this with the confused breakfast guys last week we were just bullshitting about like movies that you watch once and then they're not the same after that right like uh usual suspects is my number one for that just because of how like shocked something happens and you're like yeah and then you know it after that and then when you re-watch it it's not the same and primal fear is another great one with richard gear and edward norton yeah it's awesome the first time and then you're like no i never need to watch it again so yeah i did like watching that one a few more times just to see how good edward norton was on that it was good yeah anyway yeah so horror movies are yes yeah i think i think it's a again i'm not into them but yeah i'll say i'll agree with you there i should i should I shouldn't say they're not cool just because I don't like them.
00:49:40
Right. Yeah. You can say I don't think they're fucking cool, but clearly they are. Yeah, that's where I'm at. We're still cool. Those are still cool. Okay, so one that I wanted to ask you about though as far as horror movies is Evil Dead. Oh god. The original? Yeah, that's a little different. It was intentionally campy. So cheesy. And I loved it because of the kind of cult following and it was a little more sci-fi-ish. almost excuse me yeah and the remakes never even heard of it and i'm really with that yep uh shit what is his name you had to you had ash williams and but no but it's bruce campbell bruce campbell yeah he had like a chainsaw for a hand oh god no yeah so sheltered yeah like he loses his arm and then like how old puts it oh in the 80s 80s yeah but then they remade rails it's been remade the remakes are 81 was the original and then the remake i think was in 2013 and then there's two and there's a bunch of like there's sequels and stuff too but the new the newest ones are good i mean they're not campy they're genuinely gross and terrifying and scary and i thought they did them really well yeah i didn't know what i expected i just always liked the kind of cult following and yeah concept of him well because he had so many like little one-liners like and now i'm gonna blank on what they are but like uh i believe at one point he like grabs the a shotgun. He's like, this is my boomstick.
00:51:04
And like, you know, just that the cheesy little lines you could say. Yeah, he was great. Yeah. I honestly thought the only reason why you watch a scary movie was to snuggle with a girl on the couch. I mean, it works for that, too. That was honestly, I thought that's what they were just investing for. But here's the thing, Shaun, you're the girl. Because I want you to bury your head into my chest and hide from the scariness. I got you, Big Bear. There's one time I can fake man. Put it this way, when my intention's only really on her, not the movie, then I can be like, I don't know what's going on.
00:51:38
I mean, that's fair. Yeah. That was my move in high school. Right. For sure. It was taking a scary movie. Scared the shit out of him. I have a distinct memory of taking a date to Drag Me to Hell. Oh, yeah. Sam Raimi film. Yeah. Yeah, I never watched that movie. I can tell you what happened.
00:51:54
Say mine was cut to hold the bottom of the popcorn, but, you know, whatever. Deeper, deeper. There it is. What? Too soon? butter baby buttery so i was looking up say uh ash williams one-liners there's three things i know in this world death taxes and more death yeah and i don't even pay taxes it was kind of like the uh what was that video game we would like it was like one of the first kind of horror video games uh doom the original is that where you like killed nazis and shit like weren't you yeah that's that right i have no duke newcomb maybe i can't nuke him yeah but he'd go through and he's like i'm here to kick ass and chew bubble gum and i'm all out of bubble gum like see i mean you can only tell that right from the days and fuse right here to drink beer and kick some ass almost out of beer yeah god i love that now that was fucking great did we talk about matthew mcconaughey's autobiography ever the green lights green lights yeah god it's good Have we talked about it? I don't know. I thought we did.
00:52:58
It's so fucking good. It's fucking awesome. Especially if you can do the audio version because it's him obviously doing it and it's so much better. He's got another book that's coming out here soon. He does? Yeah. About himself? I don't remember what it's about now, but I feel like I just heard that. Maybe he's working on one. Dude, his voice. He just has one of those captivating voices. He's so good at telling stories. He's just really... I read it after listening to the audio book and it was still great, but it's just it's so it's one i feel like you have to listen to we listened to it driving um down to florida for spring break dude so did we that's weird yeah and then it was almost perfect because the whatever times we had to stop or whatever you know pause it literally finished when we got back in the driveway from the ride home so like no way yeah so we listened on the way down and then had to pause or whatever then on the way back so it was just a matter of time that was like literally coming down the street and Ashley's like, this is going to stop right when we get in the fucking driveway.
00:53:58
Green light. He has a story. It's not spoiling anything, but he talks about his dad a lot and how much his dad was just full of wisdom and really old school dad. Very old school. But he's talking about him and I guess his dad always said, there's only one way I'm going out of this world and it's banging your mom or something like that. He fucking died banging his mom. They were having sex and he had a heart attack. And so they wheel him out on the gurney or whatever and I guess one of them was like, cover him up or whatever. And she was like, don't you dare cover him. He wants the world and everyone to see how big he was or something like that.
00:54:36
I was like, damn, what a boss move. You're dead and you're just like, look at this. I'm big dicking my way out of here. Jesus. Yeah. It's a fucking awesome book. Man. What a way to go. We do have an email we should get to. Oh, shit. Thank you. Good call. so Leanne Crowley oh that's John that's right I forgot about that thank you for reminding me our guest from before so John says Mikey first off fuck you making fun of 60 year olds I love the way he opens I love the way he opens but he comes hard his opening is always something and it's funny too because he's the nicest guy in the world he would never like you know thanks John he said just wait in no time you'll be there okay he has some bracket ideas for us so now to my brackets you may have already talked about this but how about a bracket for famous one lines from movies or TVs that's a good one so like best one liners just be hard to put together but it'd be really good I know a one seed right now yippee ki-yay motherfucker I'll be back There you go.
00:55:49
Now I have a machine gun. Ho, ho, ho. Man, how would you whittle that down to 32? Because there's hundreds of them. That would be really hard. But anyway, that's a good one. I was unaware of what you choose. We're buyers!
00:56:06
It's in the bone. Excuse me. So he's got a couple here. Get busy living or get busy dying. Yeah. I'll be back. Wait. Get busy living. Is that color of money? No. What is that? I don't know for sure. Oh, he didn't put what it's from? God damn it, I know that line. Get busy. Is that risky business? Shawshank Redemption. Oh, fuck. I feel like a penis. Yeah, okay. I'll be back. Like we said, the boys were a little banged up today. A little cloudy in the brain. It's pretty obvious. What did that one comedian say that one time? No, you guys remember that one movie? No, it was that one year. Fuck. Give me a minute.
00:56:52
Never come back to it again. It's hard work carrying your fucking hungover asses around here, right? Plan. I ain't got no plan. I don't know what that one's from either. God damn it. It sounds familiar, though. I feel like it's like a war movie, like Platoon or something. I feel like he's showing his age here a little bit, buddy. Careful. You're going to be the next one. He says, hey, Shaun. Fuck you. He opens up with, hey, Shaun. Fuck off. Yeah. Yeah, exactly. I'll have to look that one up. That's fine. We can always come back to him, too. Because we definitely have to do this. That's a good one.
00:57:27
I don't think I've ever heard of a one-liners bracket. Yeah, that'd be good. I'm going to do it. It says maybe Mad Max. Yeah, Mad Max. Oh, that makes sense. Sure. It's in the hole. I don't know what that one's from, either. Now all I can hear is because Shaun just goes, it's in the bone. It's in the bone. So now I can't think of anything but that. It's in the hole. It's a caddy shack. It's in the hole. I was just going to say. It's when he's coming up 18. It's in the hole. Yeah, there we go.
00:57:57
You're killing me, Smalls, obviously. He said you could have your listeners send in quotes, and then you can seed them by whatever ones get mentioned the most. Heard you have some time on your hands, Mike, so you could work on this. I guess I could address that. What did I open last week's podcast with? How'd you get fired on your day off? For the record, I did not get fired because I guarantee we were like ooh someone lost his job. I did lose my job I did not get fired. I got laid off after almost 17 years But so I got a little bit of free time right now, but your boy will be back before you know it but hey it works out because we get to put now I get to help Erik post clips so But anyway, you can't fire me. You can't fire me?
00:58:37
I quit. Yeah, I quit. Fuck you. Fuck you. You're cool. Oh wait. No, I'm not gonna quit. You can give me severance so yes john i have a little bit of free time thank you very much uh he said you know hit him up for lunch so yeah we'll do buddy yeah i appreciate that dude i love that one-liner idea though i've got because i think we love brackets we've talked about this so a lot of times we every now and then we have to do a bonus episode for you know someone has to be out for family reasons or whatever so we always keep one in the chamber we like doing brackets and be interesting to see if we could just think of all the lines that we've shared just throughout the thing of it and get those added slowly until we come up with 64 and then that's how we do it. Wait, you mean like lines we've said on the podcast?
00:59:17
Yeah. I guarantee there's been 64 already. I bet. But you know, you think about, I'll add that one to the list and then once we get to it, because it's going to be hard to find. So I have a lot of free time on my hands right now. I don't know if I want to listen to 60 hours of podcasts. No. No. But I'll see what I can do. From this day forward. Yeah, exactly. No, but I love that. So I'm definitely going to run that one. So if anyone does have any iconic quotes that they love for movies, we'd love to add them in. You know the email. We're still cool, Ray, at gmail.com. Shoot us some ideas, and we'll get them added. We'll give you a little shout-out.
00:59:52
Thank you, John, for the email. I really like that one. Keep up with the great openers, man. Fuck off, Mike. Alright, fuck you. I thought you were talking to me about my can cracks. I work really hard on those. You do a good job with those. I think about it 10 seconds before we start. I don't always address why I said it like last week, but we'll always come back to it. We circle. I also want to thank you, Shaun, for bringing back. It didn't feel like home here until we brought our mascot back in. Yes, I remembered it today. The golden finger has made its way back to the studio. It's a big-ass finger, too.
01:00:25
It's a long-ass finger. It was a big fuck you when I gave it to you. Do you think whoever their hand was the mold for that? Do you think they get royalties? Wait, we can buy those kits. Should we all make our own? And then just paint them gold? I think it's a female's hand, too. It's definitely not a male hand. Why, do you want to sit on it? Sorry, you set me up there.
01:00:48
He hates doing this show with me. Please, please no. Please no? God, it sounds so much worse when you say it after something like that. Do you got a dad joke for us? Hold on. We can do a dad joke, but a friend of ours sent in a joke, and I wanted to read it because I thought it was funny. Adam sent this in. He sent it in too, so I'll just say him. You really have to hand it to blind prostitutes. Because they can't find it themselves. You gotta hand it to them. That one fucking made me laugh. The other one was, if an amputee competes in a karate tournament, would you call it partial arts? That's kind of a dad joke, actually.
01:01:30
I almost used that one. Did you really? Can you imagine if that was the one you had to say? He'd be like, fuck. All right, that's it. Thanks, Adam. Okay. What weighs more than a gallon of water? Or what weighs more? A gallon of water or a gallon of butane?
01:01:51
Wait, a gallon of butane is a little lighter. It's a lighter. Butane because it's a lighter fluid. Does that count? Do I get a point on that one? You get points. Yes, back, baby. is it two in a row? Didn't I get one last week? We got it last week. Well, we gave you a bonus. We threw you a bonus. No, you didn't. And then he threw you just this light ball. Because you were starting to like, we're worried about you. Hey guys, this is a hard time in my life. I need this. I need this. Throw me a softball every now and then. Again, I get those Nesper signs every fucking time. For those that aren't in Iowa, that's a little sign company on the interstate and they always put a little joke up every day.
01:02:31
And I nailed it. And they're very dad jogy. They're very dad jokey. Yeah. Well, I don't know, boys. It's pretty comfortable in this studio here. I'm liking it. I'm liking it. Yeah. We appreciate everyone still listening. We got big things on the horizon. Shout out to Logan. We appreciate the hospitality and everything you've done for us. So appreciate it, brother. Thanks for being here, guys. Yeah, man. So yeah, we'll be back next week. And again, I want to say it one more time. We're still cool, right? At gmail.com. Send in any ideas. If you have any, is this still cool? Anything you want, we'll shout it out and read it on there.
01:03:03
Yeah, and then we're still cool on all the different socials. You can search up and you'll see we're posting videos every day. Yep. It means a lot if you like, subscribe. All those things your kids' favorite YouTubers say. Like and subscribe, okay? It really does help. But it definitely helps us get shown to more people and get us exposed to people outside of our friends and family. So definitely like and follow and all those things for us, please. Yes. We'll see you next week. See you guys. Cheers. Cheers. Bye. you
